Today, in the run-up to the 3rd Nyéléni Global Forum, we make an urgent call to unite and act collectively against the capitalist system that continues to advance in a destructive and exploitative manner. It is crucial that we center solidarity, mutual respect, and self-criticism in our struggles, as only through these principles can we build a more just and sustainable future for all. The global challenges threatening our food sovereignty and social justice cannot be ignored.

March 8: Women in struggle for systemic transformation

March 8 is not just a date for commemoration, but a day of struggle and demand for the rights of working women worldwide. From feminist economics to food sovereignty, from resistance to capitalist expansion to the defense of bodies and territories, the global organizations and social movements that are part of the Nyéléni process leading to the 3rd Global Forum converge in their demand for justice and equity, denouncing a system that perpetuates the exploitation and violence against women and peoples.

Women in Lebanon from different backgrounds worked for a year through a series of public workshops and graphic design collectives, where intersectional feminist thought and feminist visual representation were discussed. The result is the captivating Bakura calendar.
